Day Ten- Socktober!

On the tenth day of Christmas, we are looking back at October or, should we say, Socktober.  Kids all over the community raised sock donations and awareness of homeless issues. Central Arkansas Christian school’s 6th graders collected 800 socks. We also received a donation of equal size from Cabot Church of Christ and the local Cabot schools. One of our community partners, the Van, who serve the homeless people of our area shared their socks with us, and lots of socks from Bombas were received, as well. Bombas donates one pair of socks for every pair sold. The total of these donations was 8000 pairs of socks.  You may wonder if we can use all those pairs of socks.  YES!  We have already been able to make a huge impact thanks to some special kids and Bombas.  Imagine if your feet were wet and cold and you had to walk everywhere.  Thankfully, you don’t have to experience that and now, neither do our clients.
